The Frankfurt motor show has gained a lot of attention due to the various companies revealed one of their best models at the show in September 2016. Mercedes-Benz has not let anyone leave it too far behind in the race for providing the best cars in the market nor has it left its customers unattended and this is will be proved when the car is seen being driven at dusk on the roads of Cyprus. It has been constantly working on designs and features and has finally stepped up to introduce the all-new second generation C-Class coupe which will attract many in the country. Rivaling the BMW 4 series and Audi A5, the coupe is introduced in October and will be available with a wider range of engines than the previous version which was launched, back in 2011.

The car takes its design from the C-Class saloon at the front-end design. The body was well planned out and has been given a bigger structure this time around. The width and length have been increased and the seating has become a bit more spacious. The switch gear and dashboards are the same ones used in the C-Class saloon, but the sport seats of this coupe are unique. In addition, 2 individual rear seats have also been placed. Just like it is seen in Vauxhall’s Astra, the Coupe will have an entertainment which will be supportive Bluetooth and internet connectivity through a cellular phone. Technologically sound, the car will make it difficult for the people of Cyprus to choose from a range of such competitive cars.

Technological advancements have provided a safe driving experience such as an alert issued over drowsiness or inattentiveness. Furthermore it is loaded with a collision prevention assist system with autonomous braking at high speeds. The technological edge has been gained by the company by using the advancements to the proper use. Automatically maintaining the lane upto the speed of 124 mph, the Distronic Plus system is seen in a very small amount of cars. The car will be launched with two different engines initially, a 1.6-litre engine and a 2.0-litre engine, both being 4 cylinder engines. Also, the 2.1-litre diesel engine might also be launched. The options for transmission will also vary. For automatic transmission, a seven-speed and a nine-speed gearbox will be provided, whereas the manual transmission will come with a six-speed gearbox. These features will work well on the roads of Cyprus; the car will not be another overloaded vehicle which is not enjoyed to the fullest.

Better six cylinder versions are also being considered for the car, which includes a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine for a sport model has been confirmed by Mercedes-Benz officials.

The sports version of the coupe will be introduced with better steering agility and stronger strings and dampers. There is nothing to be surprised about, because the country is always in search of better performance. And what is better performance, if it is not the power that increases?

The coupe has relied heavily on the C-Class Saloon, in this is clearly seen by having a look at the dominant aluminium body. This can be seen especially on the front with the bonnet, the grill and the headlights.

Unique features for this car are the frameless doors and a rather upright windscreen.
